Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the Terms of Service and applies to every user and Organization of PocketPart (the “Service”), operated by 76 Analytics, Inc.
1. Prohibited uses
You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:
Unlawful or harmful use
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose, or to facilitate, plan, or conceal unlawful activity.
- Infringe intellectual property, violate privacy, or misappropriate confidential information.
Abuse of access and limits
- Circumvent rate limits, request caps, or plan/pack entitlements, or attempt to access tools or data you are not entitled to.
- Scrape, bulk-export, or harvest data beyond the limits permitted by the Service or any Upstream Source, or build a competing dataset by systematic extraction.
- Overload, disrupt, or degrade the Service or its infrastructure (e.g. denial-of-service, excessive automated requests).
Credential misuse
- Share, sell, or publish API Keys, or embed them where third parties can extract them. Each key is a bearer credential tied to your account.
- Misuse, share, or store another person’s or organization’s BYO Credentials (e.g. PACER logins) without authorization.
Unauthorized access and security
- Access or attempt to access another Organization’s or user’s data.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without authorization, or bypass authentication, RLS, or entitlement controls.
- Reverse engineer the Service except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
Violating upstream data-source terms
- Violate the terms of any Upstream Source, including (without limitation) PACER, CourtListener/RECAP (Free Law Project), the EPO, the USPTO, Cornell LII, govinfo, and Exa — including their restrictions on bulk access, redistribution, commercial reuse, and acceptable use.
Misuse of outputs
- Rely on tool outputs as a substitute for professional legal judgment. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete; you must independently verify every citation, holding, status, and deadline before relying on it. The Service does not provide legal advice.
- Present Service outputs in a way that is deceptive or that misrepresents their reliability or source.
Other
- Upload malware or use the Service to transmit harmful code.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to generate unlawful content.
2. Consequences
Violations may result in warnings, throttling, suspension or revocation of API Keys, suspension or termination of your account or Organization, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement or notification of the affected Upstream Source. We may act immediately and without notice where a violation threatens the Service, other users, or third parties.
3. Reporting
To report abuse, a security issue, or a suspected violation, email support@pocketpart.io with enough detail for us to investigate (what happened, when, and any relevant identifiers). We appreciate good-faith security reports and will work with researchers acting responsibly.
